How we handle your information
Edenhana does not require an account to use most of the site. If you choose to sign in to save plants to your own garden, described below, we store a small amount of account and garden data. The only other personal data we store is the email address you provide if you choose to join our waitlist, also described below.
Signing in and My Garden
You can optionally sign in with a one-time link sent to your email address to save plants to a personal “My Garden” list and record when you planted them. No password is created or stored. If you choose to sign in, we:
- Store the email address you sign in with
- Store the list of plants you save and any optional planted dates you add — nothing else (no photos, notes, or other content)
- Use this information solely to show you your own saved plants and let you manage them
- Never show your saved plants or account details to any other user
- Let you sign out at any time, which ends your session on this device
Signing in sets a small number of strictly-necessary session cookies used only to keep you signed in and to know which account's saved plants to show you. These are not tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not use them for any other purpose.
Email addresses
If you choose to join the waitlist on our waitlist page to be notified about upcoming features, we will:
- Store your email address in Supabase, a hosted database provider, for this purpose only
- Use it only to notify you about new Edenhana features
- Not sell, rent, or share it with third parties, or use it for any other purpose
- Allow you to request deletion of your email address at any time
Cookies and analytics
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If you sign in to use My Garden, we set strictly-necessary session cookies as described above, solely to keep you signed in. We may use privacy-friendly aggregate analytics to understand how visitors use Edenhana, but no personal or identifying information is collected or tracked.
Your rights under the Privacy Act 2020
Edenhana is committed to complying with the Privacy Act 2020. Under the Act, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you
- Request corrections to any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Ask how your information has been used
If you have questions about your privacy or would like to request deletion or correction of your information, please contact us at [email protected].
Data collection principle
We collect only the information that is necessary to provide the services you request. We will always be clear about what we are collecting and why.
